Corey has been tattooing since 2008, building a career that grew organically from a lifelong passion for art. After graduating from Pelham High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from AIU in Georgia in 2005. Art has always been a way of life for Corey. His art has been shaped by the influence of his mother, close friends, and the work of artists from the Impressionist movement of the late 19th century, as well as artists from the early 20th. Century through the 1950s. His work is primarily rooted in realism, a style reflected in both his graphite drawing and tattoo work. He also works in iron sculpture and oil painting. Corey’s artwork has been exhibited at JC Morgan Art Gallery in Oxford, The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, both here in Alabama, as well as Sidewalk Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Through tattooing and fine art, he continues to explore the connection between technical realism and expressive creativity, creating work that is both personal and enduring.
